I called a competitor and they were horrible to deal with and very expensive. S&B on the other hand was not just responsive but timely and did the work for almost half the cost!!! Chris Junkin30 June 2025I had S&B Plumbing install a new water heater, and overall, the work seemed solid. I opted to upgrade with their “Protection Plus” package, which includes an extra anode rod and extends the warranty from 6 to 10 years. Here’s where things got concerning (and the reason for the low stars): after installation, I noticed the warranty tag—required to prove the 10-year coverage—had been ripped off. When I followed up with them, they said they had the tag “in their pocket” and brought it back. I’m glad I got it, but I can’t think of a good reason why the only proof of an extended warranty would be removed and held back like that. It left me awfully suspicous. They may do quality plumbing work, but be aware and double-check that all your documentation and components you're paying for are provided upfront. I have posted a picture of where this warranty tag had been missing. --EDIT-- I received a follow-up call from the company, during which they apologized and asked if there was anything more they could do to make things right. I appreciate the effort to reach out and follow through, so I’m adjusting my rating to reflect that responsiveness and willingness to improve, despite the issues stated.Posted on Google

Hilary H2 May 2025I noticed some water damage on a wall and called a popular Ogden plumbing company. They opened up a bit of the wall and were like I can't find an issue then started to mess with a toilet that wasn't even an issue. I had zero confidence in the guy that was sent so I paid them and ended up having to open up more drywall myself to the issue. Let's just say as someone with minimal plumbing experience I knew this jacked up elbow joint was the source of my issues. Thankfully my dad recommended S&B plumbing. They came out the next day and were horrified by A) whoever did that plumbing job when the house was built and B) my experience with that other plumbing company. How can he give our problem his full attention if they want his attention on someone else’s problem. This occassion they sent their best ! What we thought was our problem was not our problem at all! That man looked at the big picture and found the root of the problem and fixed it, and walked us through the entire process so we had a good understanding of what was going on! I would give a 5 star for him but a 2 star for the office! First you can't get anyone to talk to you until 9am. Then you can't get the girl to just listen and send someone. My S & B fellas got it fixed - it was a toughy that may have cause a lesser plumber a long time. Not these guys! They also found the last of a 'non-code' drain issue that had been bugging me for years - some sewer smell sometimes backed up because of the old 'drum' system. I scheduled another visit with them and Conor took care of it very professionally! Everything was clean and running smooth in just 3 hours. I needed a new water main run to my house, but it was tricky, they had to go under the sidewalk, under a boulder retaining wall and through my front lawn. They were there only for a few hours and I couldn't even tell that they were there at all. Not a single rock or a blade of grass out of place. Very professional, clean work. The job was all the way across the valley and not only did S & B get a team out for me immediately, they did it without charging me after hours fees. Connor suggested we check everything possible before we tear up the ceiling. He found the leak, was able to repair it, and no ceiling tear out! Ronny Cox17 April 2023We purchased a new home and had a plumbing company install a sump pump. This company did not place the sump pump low enough in the ground or even water test it. We found water moisture on the concrete flooring and water in the bucket. I contacted S & B Plumbing and they immediately sent out Pat and Reed from S&B. Pat and Reed immediately assessed the situation and properly installed a new sump-pump bucket flush with the cement floor and cemented around it for a nice clean look. They properly tested the system and completed a very clean look. Pat and Reed are an asset to S&B Plumbing and so is Hilary White who is very pleasant and helpful when answering the phone and scheduling appointments. I would recommend S&B Plumbing. At first it was going to be a 3-day delay, but Brian the owner said that was too long, so Brian & Pat came out within 2 hours and replaced our old water heater with a new Rheem water heater. After the wonderful installation of the new unit, they cleaned up the residue from the old water heater! Good work on the new installation, and it is working great! Brian & Pat were very pleasant & professional! They were super knowledgeable recommending some upgrades to my old plumbing and made sure everything was done right!
